9-Step Production Process
We follow a strict 9-step production process to ensure every custom sweater meets your quality standards:
Knitting Machines & Production Capability
Flexible production capability for custom development, small-batch orders, and reliable bulk manufacturing.
Tesin operates a 4,500-square-meter knitwear manufacturing facility in Dalang, Dongguan, one of China’s leading knitwear production centers. Our factory is equipped with more than 20 Cixing computerized flat knitting machines, supported by dedicated teams for sample development, production, quality control, and finishing.
Our equipment supports multiple gauge options, including 3GG, 5GG, 7GG, 12GG, 14GG, and 16GG, with 18GG available for selected fine-gauge styles. This flexible machine configuration enables us to manufacture a wide range of custom knitwear, including sweaters, cardigans, pullovers, knitted dresses, vests, and other fashion knitwear products.
With a monthly production capacity of approximately 40,000 pieces, Tesin can support product development, small-batch customization, repeat orders, and bulk production. Standard sample development usually takes 7–10 days, while bulk production normally takes 30–60 days, depending on yarn availability, knitting technique, design complexity, and order quantity.
From sampling to final packing, every production stage is carefully coordinated to help customers achieve consistent quality, practical delivery schedules, and reliable bulk results.
Quality Control at Every Stage
Every garment is carefully checked from yarn inspection to final packing for consistent quality and reliable delivery.
Quality control begins before bulk production. Before materials are released for production, our team checks yarn quality, color, composition, texture, and order requirements. The approved sample, size specification, workmanship details, color standard, and packaging instructions are also reviewed before bulk knitting begins.
During production, our QC team carries out in-line inspections throughout knitting, linking, washing, and finishing. Knitted panels are checked for stitch consistency, color accuracy, appearance, and visible defects. Garment workmanship, seams, and key measurement points are compared with the approved sample and size specification, allowing potential issues to be identified and corrected at an early stage.
After production, finished garments are inspected for overall appearance, measurements, workmanship, labels, hangtags, and accessories. Packing details, including folding methods, polybags, quantity ratios, barcode labels, carton marks, and final presentation, are checked against the confirmed order instructions.
Needle detection can be completed when required by the product or customer. Third-party laboratory testing and independent inspection can also be arranged according to customer requirements and destination-market standards.Any garment that does not meet the confirmed requirements is separated for correction or replacement before final packing. This structured inspection process helps us maintain consistent quality from the first approved sample to the completed bulk order.
Compliance & Certifications
Recognized certification and social-audit documentation support responsible sourcing and transparent manufacturing.
Tesin is GRS certified and maintains SMETA social-audit documentation to support customers with responsible sourcing and compliance requirements.
Our GRS certification supports eligible products made with certified recycled materials within the approved certification scope. SMETA audit documentation provides customers with greater transparency regarding workplace practices, health and safety, labor standards, and business management.
Relevant certificates, audit reports, and supporting compliance documents are available for customer review. Third-party material and product testing can also be arranged according to customer requirements and destination-market standards.
Knitting Techniques
We provide a wide range of knitting techniques, including jersey, rib, cable, jacquard, pointelle, mesh, tuck stitch, plated knitting, engineered patterns, brushed finishes, and textured structures. Each technique can be customized through yarn selection, gauge, stitch density, color combination, pattern scale, and finishing method. We can develop new stitch ideas, convert design concepts into workable knitting structures, prepare swatches, and refine the construction before garment sampling. Our technical support helps improve appearance, fit, stretch, drape, durability, and production feasibility while reducing unnecessary development time and repeated revisions.
Yarn & Material Library
Our Yarn & Material Library covers natural, synthetic, recycled, functional, and blended yarns, including cotton, cashmere, merino wool, lambswool, mohair, alpaca, silk, linen, viscose, acrylic, and polyester. Based on the design, season, target price, gauge, hand feel, durability, and performance requirements, we can recommend suitable yarn options and provide customized solutions for different knitwear styles. Our services include yarn sourcing, material matching, custom colors, yarn counts, blend ratios, special textures, recycled content, and functional properties. We also support yarn substitution and cost optimization to help customers balance appearance, performance, quality, and budget.
From Tech Pack to Bulk Production
Project: Multi-Color Jacquard Sweater
Gauge: 12GG
Material: 100%WOOL
Technique: Jacquard
A customer asked us to develop a knitted sweater featuring a large jacquard pattern with multiple colors across the body and sleeves. The original artwork contained many small color areas and frequent color changes, so the main challenge was to keep the pattern clear without making the fabric too heavy, stiff, or uneven.
We first converted the artwork into a knit-ready pattern and reviewed the size, position, repeat, and color distribution. Small details that could not be reproduced cleanly at the selected gauge were adjusted while preserving the overall visual effect. We then matched yarns with similar counts, stretch, and shrinkage to reduce differences between colors during knitting and finishing.
Several trial panels were produced to compare color clarity, fabric weight, elasticity, reverse-side appearance, and yarn tension. During the first sample, some areas showed puckering and unclear edges because too many colors were concentrated within a small section. We reorganized the knitting sequence, adjusted stitch density and carrier tension, and refined the jacquard structure to improve stability. The revised sample achieved cleaner outlines, more balanced color coverage, and a softer hand feel.
After the customer approved the updated sample, we confirmed the final color standards, measurements, workmanship, and finishing requirements before bulk production. In-line inspections focused on pattern alignment, color consistency, tension, measurements, and surface defects. The finished garments were linked, washed, shaped, inspected, and packed according to the confirmed specifications.
This project demonstrates our ability to turn complex multi-color artwork into a production-ready jacquard garment through pattern engineering, yarn matching, sampling, technical adjustment, and controlled bulk production.

Customer Visits & Trade Shows
We value face-to-face communication with customers both at our factory and at international trade shows. Factory visits allow customers to review our production process, yarn options, sample development, knitting techniques, quality control, finishing, and packing procedures directly. Our merchandising and technical teams can discuss ongoing projects, check samples, confirm materials, gauges, colors, measurements, and workmanship, and solve development questions efficiently.
At trade shows, we present new yarns, stitch structures, seasonal samples, and customized knitwear developments. These meetings help us understand each customer’s market, target price, design direction, and product requirements more clearly. Whether customers visit our factory or meet us at an exhibition, our goal is to provide practical solutions, faster communication, and reliable support from product development to bulk production.
